Chocolate & Ginger Defence Smoothie
Some days you just need a bit of a boost, whether it is you are feeling under the whether, need a little bit more energy or have had a bit of a rubbish day. That is where this Chocolate & Ginger Defence Smoothie comes in!
As you know I am a BIG fan of green smoothies as I have seen SUCH good result with them. In my own body and energy and also in my clients and customers – you love them too!

And in this smoothie you are not only going to get a natural boost for your immune system from the Baobab Powder, the Cacao / Cocoa Powder is a rich source of magnesium (which can really help with sleep, bowels and PMS), plus it gives you that natural energy boost, whilst the ginger is a fantastic warming digestive aid.
So when that chocolate bar or cake comes a calling or when you start to feel a cold coming on grab yourself some Chocolate & Ginger Defence!
- 1-2 tbsp chopped fresh ginger
- 1 tbsp boabab powder
- 2 heaped tbsp cocoa/cacao
- 1 banana
- 1-2 medjool dates - pitted
- 2 handfuls spinach
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 300ml water
- Place all the ingredient in a blender and blend for about 30 seconds - 1 minute or until smooth. Serve with ice and ideally with a straw!
