 Fourteen days, fourteen green smoothie. Phew!
Incase you have not noticed on my facebook, instagram or twitter , over the last 14 days a good bunch of us have been on the green smoothie challenge (see here if you have no idea what I am on about!) where we have consumed a green smoothie every day. Now many of you will still be doing the challenge as you found out about it late or maybe you just want  to carry on for even longer as it just so good, so feel free to carry on or join in!

The point of this fun challenge has been to get you to try out some green goodness for yourself. Starting the day with a glass of green stuff is understandably unappealing at first until you have tried it! One of my clients has been doing the challenge and been loving it, they have lost loads of  weight and been told they look ten years younger! I know many of you have been doing it before early work starts, with babies on the hip or in the belly or like me whilst travelling all over the place.
I know some of you have had disasters.

Some of you have done it with new borns or from far away continents and were total smoothie newbies!

I intend to have green smoothies for breakfast 5-6 times a during the summer as I feel they are doing my body so much good!     • Fancy giving a green smoothie a go? Take a look at the image on the right and Green Smoothie Guide your own pdf guide for FREE.
    • Blend your smoothie for long enough. Unless you have a high power blender you will need to blend then for about 1-3 minutes to get them smooth. 
    • Blend in stages. Again if you have a cheaper blender blender the tough things like carrot, spinach, kale, dates or raw nuts first for a while with fluid then add other ingredients.
    • Add enough sweetness. Feel free to reduce the sweetness once you are used to it but to begin make sure you use bananas, berries or other fruit, or things like raw honey or stevia to sweeten you smoothies.
    • Eat them in a bowl. Use less water so its thicker and can be more pudding like and eaten from a bowl.
    • Experiment. Shove stuff in your blender and see what happens – its part of the fun!
    • Invest in a blender. Get what you can afford and blend away!

Green Strawberry Goodness Recipe
 A powerful way to start your day!
1 banana
6-8 strawberries or more if you fancy!
300 ml liquid (I used half hemp milk half water)
2 large handfuls spinach
25g of coconut cream OR a dash of coconut milk
½ avocado (or 1/4 of a large avo)
Tbsp chia seeds
Additional extras – spirulina, bee pollen

Blend and enjoy!
